Cathy Diefendorf

A lifelong resident of beautiful upstate New York, Cathy Diefendorf began her career as a freelance illustrator after graduating from Syracuse University in 1985. Working as an illustrator has allowed her great flexibility as an artist. Over the years, the endless variety of projects commissioned by clients has included corporate murals; magazine and children's book illustrations; product advertising such as wine labels; game boards; book covers; tissue boxes; and on and on. Cathy's distinctively bright and colorful style lends itself well to her favorite subjects: floral and garden scenes, moody landscapes, beach and tropical scenes, architecture, and portraits. Her use of color and light engage the viewer to find endless shifts in values and textures. Her work is collected in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. Cathy resides in Loudonville NY with her husband, Tom, and daughter Sarah
