Sorelle artist, Dinesh Boaz has recently joined Fujifilm's enhanced X-Photographer program. Boaz is one of 16 new photographers joining the existing group of 16.
Dinesh Boaz is an award-winning aerial photographer based in New York City. Originally from Chennai, India, with roots in Sri Lanka, Dinesh graduated from Rutgers University where he studied psychology and philosophy and took his first photography course. After graduating, he moved to NYC, where he worked as a music producer and experimented with his camera capturing composite portraits of studio artists and creating commercial work. Soon after, he took his first aerial photo flight over Manhattan and he went on to study advanced digital printmaking at the International Center of Photography. His photography now takes him across the world to build a portfolio of work and continue to grow his vision for awe-inspiring image-making.
Fujifilm has made a significant effort in the last several months to broaden the scope of the program and representation within it. The size of the program has now doubled, providing more showcasing opportunities to program members.
According to the Fujifilm website, members of the Fujifilm X-Photographer program, "Fujifilm X-Photographers are leading photographers in the U.S. Fujifilm community that are passionate about creating images, mentoring new image-makers, and giving back to the community. The newest photographers added to this respected program were selected by a group comprised of Fujifilm staff, some of Fujifilm’s current US-based X-Photographers, and third-party reviewers."
