About Julia B. Blake
Award Winning artist Julia Blake has an impressive ability to work across many styles from abstract to figure. She tends to use vivid colors, high contrast and bold strokes to create aesthetic and meaningful works. She was a peer and client nominated finalist for 40 Women to Watch Over Forty. She trained privately and briefly at Rhode Island School of Design and at the MFA in Boston. She is represented by The Portland Art Gallery in Maine. Her art is in private collections in 25+ states from Hawaii to Massachusetts as well as Europe and Asia. She is the co-founder with J. Kirk Richards of The Artist Common, a place for artists of all levels to come together in an historic New England church. She recently moved from Boston to SLC to be near her grandchildren and to ski.
