Whether you’re a new homeowner planning a renovation project, or just looking to freshen up a tired space, one of the best ways to establish or unite a room’s personality is by installing art.

Great art not only enhances your home; it lifts your spirit and stirs your soul. When building your collection, focus on art that best serves your vision, space and resources.

What is “Original Art”?

Original fine art is one-of-a-kind. Just like you, there is only one in the world! Original art’s rarity makes it very special and valuable. Do you admire exclusivity, distinction, and individuality? Do you enjoy seeing the ‘artist’s hand’ through texture and paint? Original art is for you. Whether two, or two-thousand people own the same artwork, it is no longer unique. All original art purchased through Sorelle comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

What is a “Limited Edition Print”?

The fine art photographers we represent produce only a limited quantity of their artwork, anywhere from 1-15, in a variety sleek presentations (vetted for top, lasting quality). Unlike open edition prints and mass-reproductions, limited edition prints (especially small editions 15 and under), are much more rare therefore more valuable. All limited edition prints purchased through Sorelle are numbered and signed by the artist.

The Benefits of Buying Original Art

Original artwork is hand-produced, and every color is specifically chosen by the artist. Original artworks have depth – literally. High quality materials, ingenuity, and story create a strong emotional connection. A one-of-a-kind artwork makes your space your own.

Mass-produced reproductions use commercial inks instead of oil or acrylic paints, and are printed by machines. They can look pixelated or digitally rendered when looking closely. Originals never have that risk, and even the most amateur art lover can tell the difference between an original artwork and a store-bought décor item.

Artwork is a solid investment that also provides joy. Fabian Bocart, founder of the art advisory firm Tutelar Capital, has advised, “Invest confidently in art, because an artwork will never be bankrupt.” Knowing the story behind an artwork or understanding the feeling behind a piece will make it that much more valuable in your collection.
