Sorelle artist Ken Elliott has been commissioned for a 22' landscape painting by a prestigious East Coast hospital.

The Colorado-based painter built a custom support system made of aluminum and wood for the canvas, and then gridded the landscape composition out before beginning the painting process.

"Creating art this large isn't just about technique—it's physical work and I'm constantly repositioning myself and the canvas to access different sections," Elliott says. "Each part requires a different perspective and approach."

"We are thrilled for Ken," says Sorelle Owner, Sandy Pelletier. "This project clearly presents an interesting challenge for him, but it's also an incredible opportunity. We love to see his work filling up East Coast spaces, and a hospital setting is perfect environment for his vibrant, uplifting work. Nature is healing, and it is a testament to the power of artwork to bring that healing element into a space where it is needed. We can't wait to see it installed in it's new home."
