Artist Statement

"Art has always served as an outlet for me. The process of creation is profoundly meditative, offering a serene moment amidst life's chaos. Being intentional with my artwork grounds me, providing solace even during challenging times. I try to keep my mental health at the core of everything I do. My current work is the intersection between my artistic process and the emotional and mental revelations I undergo during my practice. Stream of consciousness layered with bright colorful abstractions.

"I enjoy working and creating in different art mediums, exploring the possibilities, and seeing what new combinations I can come up with. In this body of work, each piece starts with a meticulously crafted underpainting, serving as the foundation upon which layers of collage, paint, writing, and discovered materials are progressively added. I find inspiration and meaning in my encounters with nature, memories, the human body, and so much more. I aim to repurpose found or recycled materials when possible, drawing inspiration from their intricate histories. I hope to create distinctive, engaging artwork that tells many stories."
