About Kazaan Viveiros

Contemporary artist Kazaan Viveiros lives and works in Lambertville, NJ. She earned a BA with distinction from the University of Virginia, and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. She has exhibited work in cities across the U.S. and Italy, including New York, San Francisco, Scottsdale, Richmond, Savannah, Milan, and Rome.

Viveiros’s paintings have been collected by an array of corporations, including eBay, Marriott International, and Capital One Bank, as well as by notable individuals such as author Danielle Steel. Five of her paintings are installed in the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

In 2022, Viveiros was awarded an Individual Artist Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. That same year, she joined with several artists in the Delaware River Valley to form the artist collective Steamroller Group in hopes of creating a supportive community of women artists in pursuit of excellence.

While her work is diverse, her focus remains constant—the human connection to the natural world; the point of intersection between man and environment; the idea that we are connected to all life in a continuum; that there is an underlying pattern and flow to all things; that, as designer Charles Eames said, "Eventually, everything connects."
